Can I purchase products without creating an account?
The #ifdef Software site does not require that you create a shopping account
in order to browse our products or add them to your shopping cart. However, until
you create an account (absolutely free), you will be unable to actually purchase the
products or bid on any auction items.

Do I have to enter my credit card information when I create an account?
Absolutely NOT! Creating an account at #ifdef Software is completely free.
However, we do ask that you provide your Name, e-mail Address, and a Password
so we can better serve your interests. If you have questions regarding the
information that we require during the membership sign-up process, please see
our site's Privacy Policy.

What kind of browser do I need to use the site?
We strongly suggest using a version 5.0 or better browser (preferably the most
current version available) from either Microsoft or Netscape (as opposed to a
version 3.0 browser). Netscape users should at least be running Communicator 4.7
or later. For users running IE 4.0, please check the version you are using by
going to your browser's HELP menu and choosing "About Internet Explorer."
Version 4.72.3110.8 or later should appear. If you do not have at least this
version, and you wish to get a free upgrade, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/default.asp.

Do you have a catalog?
Presently we do not. However, as we continue to add new products and
services, we will make our new catalog available to our on-line customers.

How do I get a Product Quote?
Many of our corporate customers require a "formal" product quote in order to begin
the purchase process. To make this as easy as possible, we have provided a
"Quote Only" payment method as part of the checkout process.
When you have selected all of the products you wish to purchase, and have
successfully logged into your store account, you should proceed through the
normal checkout process. When you get to the "Payment Information" page, you
should select Product Quote. This will allow you to generate a
quote that is suitable for printing -- and carrying over to your purchase department.
Since the Product Quote process requires that you enter your shipping and billing
information, we can process your order very quickly as soon as we receive your
Purchase Order.
When we receive your Purchase Order that references your Quote Number, we'll simply
turn the quote into an order. Please note that no Product Quote orders
are processed until we receive your Purchase Order.

How frequently is my "Order Status" updated?
Thanks to our state of the art production, distribution and tracking
systems, #ifdef Software is able to update your order status in real-time
as it progresses through the various stages of order fulfillment. From time to time,
you may also receive e-mail notifications from our automated systems that will
let you know the status of your order.

How can I get package tracking information for a purchase?
Package tracking information is available for all non-EDP (Electronic Delivery Product)
purchases placed on the #ifdef Software site. If you have purchased a non-EDP
product, and your merchandise has been shipped to you, a "Tracking" reference will
appear on the Order History page for your account. Simply click on this link to get
the most recent tracking information from our shipping carriers.
Please note that we are at the mercy of our shipping carriers in terms of the
accuracy and timeliness of the information that we are able to provide. In some
instances, this information is updated only once per day, in other instances,
the carrier may elect to update the shipment status up to 5 times per day.
However, in all cases, you should note that we obtain the information directly
from the carrier at the moment you click on the Tracking link.

How do I see the contents of my "cart"?
If you have already established a shopper account with #ifdef Software, you
can login to your account by pressing the [Store] navigation button at the top
of your browser page, and then clicking on the [Login] button. When you
login to your account, you'll go directly to your shopping cart contents.

If I close my browser and still have items in my cart, how long will
you keep them?
By default, if you're logged into your #ifdef Software shopping account, we'll
save your current cart contents for a period of 30 days from the date you last
added or removed items from the cart.
If you're not logged into your account or have not yet created a shopping
account, then your cart will be deleted as soon as you close your browser
window.

Can I "trade in" or upgrade a license for an older product for a new product?
Nope. Although the policy may change in the future, we do not currently provide
upgrades for de-supported products to the current version.

My company has several single-server licenses for your products.
Can I convert multiple licenses into a single "site-license"?
Unfortunately, no. Because of the licensing mechanism we use, a license
"exchange" or "trade in" is not possible. If you believe you'll require
a large number of product licenses in the future, you might be interested
in our Enterprise or VAR products.

How can I find out what my license or subscription codes are for the
products I've ordered?
Since many of our products are EDP (Electronic Delivery Products), the
products are licensed (activated) as part of the purchase process. As a
result, any license keys or subscription identifiers you are authorized to
use are listed on your receipt. If you ever forget your license key, you can
always come back to the #ifdef Software Product Store to look at your old
purchase receipts, and determine your license keys.
